“Give & Get” Networking & Resources

What is “Give & Get” Networking?

“Give & Get” networking statements are an effective way to share your knowledge and seek resources you need. This is a great way to make connections and broaden your network. To participate in the activity, you volunteer to “give” information or knowledge that you have and share what information or resources you need to “get.” “Give & Get” statements have five components (name, role, give, get, and contact), and in order to participate, you must be willing to provide your contact information and agree to communicate if someone seeking your knowledge reaches out to you.

Example:

Name: My name is Janet Smith

Role: I am a parent of an adult with disabilities who is enrolled in an inclusive college program for students with developmental disabilities at a university in Georgia.

Give: I can “give” or share my knowledge of college programs with parents.

Get: I am looking for information on employment options for adults with developmental disabilities in the Savanah area.

Contact: The best way to reach me is by email at Example@ABCemail.com

Rules:

  1. Please share only the pertinent and requested resources.

  2. Do not use or share this information to solicit clients, funding, donations or the like that have not been requested by participants.

  3. Send respectful communication and allow adequate time for responses.

  4. If you have participated, please be sure to respond to people who have reached out to you for help.

  5. If you find particular resources that you feel would be useful to this group please email Advocacy@ClaritasCreative.com.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in removal from this list and restriction from all future events.

All individuals and contact information listed was provided by the individual. By participating in this activity and providing their contact information they agreed to publish this information. Please use these statements to help connect with individuals, families, professionals and the resources they need. If you would like to be added or removed from this list please email Advocacy@ClaritasCreative.com.

I think because so many of these overlap, no one wants to really take him on.  He's been in Theraplay for years to no avail so far.
